Restaurants on the Mississippi River

Becky from Champlin asked the following question: I am looking for restaurants/bar & grill places to stop at by boat on the Mississippi in the areas from Reads Landing to Alma. We're traveling by boat around the Wabasha area, either traveling up or down stream depending on what's available. Thanks. - Becky, Champlin, Minn.

In downtown Wabasha, Vinifera is practically under the bridge. It has a patio and serves small plates of Mediterranean comfort food with bottles of wine guests can pick out themselves at the on-site shop.

Upstream, on the far end of Main Street, Slippery's has good burgers. It's famous for being mentioned in the "Grumpy Old Men'' movies.

There's also a good place in Alma. Kate and Gracie's serves good food in a very pleasant atmosphere, an 1861 brick building on Main Street with picture windows overlooking the dam.
