Seeking House on the Rock discounts and camping

I will be bringing 3 teen-agers to see House on the Rock. Do you know of any discounts or a website where I could print off a coupon to help with the cost? Also, we want to go camping nearby but are having trouble getting hooked up with a campground. Any help would be appreciated. Very frustrated. - Gina, DeMotte, Ind.

Try Tower Hill State Park for camping. It's right along the Wisconsin River, across from Spring Green, and all of its 15 campsites are first come, first served — they can't be reserved. Of course, that means you probably can't show up at 6 p.m. on a Saturday and expect to get a site; try for Friday morning. Phone the park at 608-588-2116 for advice.

Otherwise, check the Spring Green tourist site for other campgrounds.

For $3 off tickets to House on the Rock, visit the Spring Green Chamber of Commerce in downtown Spring Green, at the corner of Jefferson and Albany streets, and pick up a free copy of the Wisconsin Summer Travel Guide. Clip out the coupon in the House on the Rock ad.

The guide is available even when the office is closed. The number is 800-588-2041: Don't be shy about calling tourist offices and asking about discounts. They'll be glad to tell you.

To get the complete three-part tour for free, go to House on the Rock on your birthday. I know; I've done it. For more, see Wisconsin's birthday town.
