Where can I get Duluth's Northland coupon book? - William, Detroit Lakes, Minn., and many others

You can download the coupons at the Vista Fleet site. First, click on the category (Dining, Attractions, Shopping, Lodging), then click on the "Click This Coupon'' line above the icons. The coupon book no longer is available in print.

Discounts for attractions are small — $2 off admission to Glensheen, $1 off admission to the Great Lakes Aquarium and Lake Superior & Mississippi Railroad, half off a second ride on the Timber Twister.

At the North Shore Scenic Railroad, you get a free child's ticket on the Lester River trip with paid adult ticket.

Deals are better for restaurants. You get a free flight of wine with an entree at Bellisio's and $5 off a $20 order at several places.

At hotels, discounts are best for stays in the off-season, from late October up to Memorial Day weekend. There are some discounts for midweek stays in summer. 

The Twin Ports Entertainment book actually is a better deal, with 2-for-1 coupons for admission to Vista Fleet cruises, the Great Lakes Aquarium, Glensheen and the Depot.

List price is $35 when it comes out in fall, but the price drops as the year goes on. By spring, it's typically $15, with free shipping.
