Most scenic golf course near Minocqua
Which golf course in the Minocqua, Wisconsin, area is the most interesting, and scenic -- Timber Ridge or Trout Lake? - Dee, Lake Elmo, Minn.
We think Trout Lake is the more interesting of the two. It is more rural and woodsy, with the Trout River running through
it.
They have done a nice job with a major renovation, including wild grass areas. Timber Ridge is very nice but certainly has a
less north-woods feel to it. It was built as a piece of a residential community development project, and that’s the
personality.
If we were picking one course to play, it would be St. Germain. Really nice people and a GREAT course. They’re all close to Minocqua, so distance is not an issue.
